Admission Process of BCA Course
If you are looking to take admission to the BCA course then there are two ways that you can use to get admission in the colleges to pursue a BCA course. The first way to get admission is through the direct admission process, and the second one is to get admission through an entrance examination.
There are many colleges that allow students direct admission for their BCA programs. But many colleges don’t let a direct entry they only allow admission through an entrance exam. Let’s see both ways in detail:-
Direct Admission Process
Now if you don’t want to prepare for any CEE or college entrance exam, then you can take a direct admission way. Let’s see the eligibility criteria of taking admission through direct way:-
- A student who is willing to take direct admission in BCA course must have completed 10+2 or 12th class with 55% marks.
- Candidate must have cleared their 12th with any stream, but math as a compulsory subject.
- The age limit for the BCA course is from 17 to 25 years.
Entrance Exam Process
If you want to fight for your seat, then this way is for you. Although I would also recommend this way, cause the majority of top-level BCA colleges allows admission with an entrance exam way. Below I have mentioned some entrance exams for the BCA course:-
- IPU CET
IPU CET or should I say Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test. By the name you can understand that the IPU CET exam conducts by the Indraprastha University.
This exam allows students to apply for the seats at the Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University. It is going to be 180 minutes or 3 hours offline exam.
KIITE or Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Examination conducts by the Kalinga Institute every year. Once you clear the examination, you’ll get a chance to apply for their various UG & PG programs like B.Tech, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, M.Tech, M.Com, M.Sc, MCA, etc. It is an online test, which means you can take it is as a computer-based test.
PESSAT examination or PES Scholastic Aptitude Test conducts by the PES University every year. Through this examination, PES university allows students to apply for their various courses like BTech, BCA, BBA, MBA, MCA, etc. University shortlists the students based on their exam score and performance in the interview round.

Now the main question, what is the salary of a BCA graduate?. It depends on many factors like the college or institute you got a degree from, how much knowledge & skill you have, do you have an MCA or not, etc. Honestly, as a fresher or newer, you can not expect 100k per month.
An average salary of a fresher or newer can go a minimum of 10k per month to a maximum of 25k per month. Now, as you gain experience and become more skilled, within no time, your salary can go up to 50k-100k per month.
